It is an interesting Breton city with an old centre in which many buildings are preserved. There are plenty of restaurants, a multitude of crêperies and cafés as well as shops supplying various produce in a wide range of consumer needs and wants. The Saint Corentin Cathedral, Musée des Beaux Arts, Breton Museum and various gardens all provide the opportunity for the visitor to appreciate the culture and history of Quimper. If staying in the centre everywhere is within a walkable distance.

Plenty of good food (not only crepes, but a large variety of those.) Worth going beyond just the tourist areas (the Cathedral & the Market) for better value & variety. Quimper is an interesting place with decent bars and restaurants history and architecture. Great access to Finistere and the coast. The apartment was in Locmaria district a quirky neighbourhood with its own character and nightlife just a 15 minute stroll into the centre where we ate decent French cuisine and also ate well at Mama Thai as the name suggests it was was Thai food but of the highest order

Appartement larger than expected, well equipped and a superbe location in the historique center of Quimper, there is a view of the cathedral, magical at night. Lots of good restaurants nearby, there is a creperie just below the appartement. AN EXCELLENT place to spend a few nights, unfortunately we spent only one night, lots of interesting places by the sea or inland to visit, Quimper is a very agreable town.HalfbeardFrance
