I've been to Pardubice several times and definitely recommend it.
Pardubice is a nice city in the central part of the Czech Republic. There's a lot of history to take in and a couple of self-guided tour routes you can find out about at the city tourism office.
As Pardubice is a major rail point between the eastern and western points in the country, most trains going across the country pass through the city or have stops there. That makes the city easy to reach by train, so there really isn't a reason not to pay it a visit.

Padubice has good public transportation and a lovely old town. The tourist information center helped me by email when I asked about renting a car locally. In the end I rented from Prague but they were very nice and responsive to queries. They have online information such as a self guided tour tips for what to do on Mondays when museums are closed. The castle has an interesting tour and the East Bohemian Museum. There are plenty of interesting places to go to on day trips from Pardubice. I very much enjoyed interacting with locals and getting away from crowds of tourists. Pardubice has a vegetarian restaurant with vegan options.

Nice small city, people are nice, local restaurants and cafes serve good food and good service. The old town square is nice with some good restaurants around it. The supermarkets are well-stocked and you can walk to most places around the old town. There are some lovely cafes that serve excellent coffee and cakes (Mlsna kava, Cafe Bajer, U Maxe etc) at reasonable prices.

There are less places to visit, monuments to see, than I hoped for. The brewery could not been visited, altough (for me) the epidemy already does not explain it. The castle and the main square are really worth seeing, catering (restaurants) were fine.

Our main objective of the trip was to see the ice hockey match of Dynamo Pardubice which lost so this fact deterioated the overall impression of the trip. Othervise Pardubice is a nice place with great parks, castle and cosy restaurants.
The location is good - it is a 15-minute walk to the main square, and there is a fine grocery store just across the street. The room is very comfortable, with a small but very usable kitchenette, excellent wi-fi, great beds. The owners are amazing - they were very accommodating with getting the keys to the place and they made sure I got back the iPad I had forgotten. A really great place to spend time in Pardubice.
Excellent hosts, straightforward and comfortable room far more spacious than I had expected, and very clean. Peaceful location to the east of the town centre, only 5-10 mins by foot from the castle and the Automatic Mills. An occasional bus to the station stops within sight of the hotel. Generous breakfast buffet varied and of good quality. Price very reasonable compared to most other options in the area.
Beautiful house in the old part of Pardubice. Nicely renovated. Friendly staff. There is a wine cellar downstairs open to the public so you can have a glass of wine there :-). For hot days there is a high-end fan and air condition unit (we did not use it as it was cold outside).
Comfy bed, not too soft, not too hard, soft linen.
The room was not cheap but well worth the money.
This cozy apartment was a wonderful way to take a break in the small town of Pardubice. The staff is extremely pleasant and offers help at every opportunity. The room we stayed in was comfortable and pleasant. The breakfast was great and consistent. The location can't be beat as it's on a quiet street within a couple minutes of the lively old town district.
New hotel nicely located in the downtown, lose to bar, restaurants and most interesting touristic sites. The rooms are big and comfortable and so are the bathrooms. Personal very kind and welcoming. Generous breakfast. I particularly appreciated the very clean place (both the hotel and the room/bathroom) and the good quality of the fixtures.
We liked the location, the appartment is just ten minutes walk away from the downtown of Pardubice. We particularly liked the garden where we could comfortably sit and have a breakfast. We also liked the spaciousness of the appartment. We also liked very much that during the hot weather, the place had a really pleasant temperature.
The breakfast was standard continental style and well prepared.
The hotel was easy to find, I walked there from the train station in about half an hour. The location is right next to the centre of the city.
The room I had (302) was very spacious and clean.
All desk staff I delt with spoke very good English.
Pension is located in beautiful centre of Pardubice, located close to train station or public transport.
Building is nice, restaurant connected to pension cooks delicious meals.
Room was cleaned, smelt nice, bed was comfortable. Loved it!
The best shower I have had in three weeks in the Czech Republic. Great water pressure. Lots of hot water. This and a shower I had in Carcassonne, France in 1982 will live in my memory forever. Great old building too!
The location was very good for my meeting at the University of Pardubice - easy walking distance. I had dinner in the restaurant one evening and it was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
+ Very good breakfast by Czech standards (and probably the most varied breakfast anywhere in the Pardubice area)
+ Spacious, clean rooms
+ Big parking area with free parking
+ WiFi was working fine
Very clean rooms and overall a nice old hotel. Dont expect something thats not possible at this pricepoint. Very satisfied woth the cleanliness and the staff vas helpful.
Perfectly located in the center of Pardubice, this pension was really nice ! The breakfast was good and the staff kind :) The room was big, calm and warm.
