Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby area is quiet compared to other hotels that have a lot of tourists, so that was a plus for us.

A wonderful stay, with fantastic hosts. Such a friendly welcome in an oasis of calm. A little way from Kona for those wanting to hit the town, but for us very worthwhile. Volcano Eco Cabin Retreat is a chalet situated in Volcano, 16 km from Kilauea and 9.6 km from Volcano National Park's entrance. We loved everything about the accomodation. The atmosphere is wonderful, in the middle of a forest, calmness, silence, beautiful starry nights, jungle sounds. The lodge has everything you need, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, everything is clean. It is very close, about a 20 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend to stay here if you visit Big Island. The hosts are so kind and helpful they really put their hearts and mind into this little lodge. We also enjoyed the complimentary yoga and sound bath sessions and I enjoyed a world class facial with the excellent Cindy at the spa. We loved the whole experience and will be back!
